When it comes to classic sporting events, there are few opportunities for people with disabilities to take part, due to logistical and safety reasons and lack of experience. Handi-Capable has come together with the support of Loisirs pour tous, the Fondation Dr Combe and the Association Suisse des Paraplégiques to create the first public racing event for adults and children with disabilities.
Handi-Capable’s mission is to help children and adults with disabilities to live beyond their limits.
Created by parents of children with disabilities, the Handi-Capable association raises awareness about disability by organising and taking part in different events. It also proposes access to different therapies so that parents of children with disabilities can have more information in order to help their children live their lives to the fullest..

The Loisirs pour tous foundation enables everyone to take part in all forms of entertainment and activity!
Based in Châtel-St-Denis, the Loisirs pour tous foundation, created in 2009, is just as active on the Vaudois Riviera as in the canton of Freiburg. It offers a varied selection of leisure and sporting activities to people with disabilities, but also to non-disabled people with restricted mobility (be it due to a broken leg, illness, advanced age, etc.) or simply wishing to discover new sensations!
The Fondation Dr Combewww.fondationcombe.ch
The Fondation Dr Combe includes several organisations dedicated to meeting the needs of children, students, adolescents and young adults with mobility deficiencies.
The specialised school La Cassagne is the most important structure in the Fondation Dr Combe. It welcomes students who, due to their mobility deficiency, which is sometimes associated with other impairments, do not have the possibility of following the whole curriculum in a public school. Each student benefits from teaching and help that are specific and specialised to them, which meet their needs and allow them to develop their full potential.
